Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to earn a 10. competing in the Olympics. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was just six years old. In 1969, she participated at the Romanian Junior Championships where she placed 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. In 1972, in an event for communist-controlled countries' juniors before the Olympics, she won three medals of gold. In 1973 and 1974, she became the overall junior champion. She won four gold and one silver medals at her senior debut international competition which took place in the year 1975. It was the first time she had competed as an older senior. The first female ever to successfully perform reverse double saltos while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment field as a performer as figure skater. With her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her career in entertainment when she was in her teens. Her career began with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. Ice Capades showcased performances of skating on ice with actors.

As I was a mom with one child with me, and other babies within the cradle was working 12 hour shifts cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! The whole thing was beginning to take shape, however we weren't anywhere near finished. For furnishing the space would be a huge effort both in budget and time. I would also have go to my favorite stores. In order to keep my budget in good shape, I went out with my three boys in search for bargains in estate sales. We used to go on a weekly basis of walking around auctions and garage sales on Sundays and Saturdays and purchase a range of furniture, both new and old made. It was my job to spend the day at the end of the driveway, painting or sanding. It was a bit like this... That's where my passion for restoring furniture began. Even after our house was finished, I didn't want to quit! There was a place at the local markets in which I sold my pieces. Then, I ran out of numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the space available....
