Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the young age of fourteen. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before making her debut as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd took advantage of this win and went on a 3-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents within the first round in each fight. She then went back to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen won over Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her via unanimity to create a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd bounced back from defeat by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC. Invicta Fc 11, she defeated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the the first round via TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen utilized her expertise in wrestling to knock down McGill by TKO in the third round (elbows and punches). Aspen was then up against Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd was unable to put on an appearance at the. Aspen, however, beat Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a an unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and ground-and-pounded her to pick up a second-round TKO victory. Ladd remained in the lead as she picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd ended Evinger in the first round, and was awarded an outstanding performance bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was the first match she had in any major role. Ladd was the winner of the night's main event fight bonus, after both fighters had hard in a tense fight back and forth. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd in 16-seconds to break her losing streak. Yana Knitskaya fell by Ladd in the third round of UFC 7.7 on ESPN. In her place she took on Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by majority decision.
